Wolves injury concern as West Ham reject offer for €23m transfer target

Exceptional' 27-year-old Wolves player now has strong argument to start vs Man United

Latest Wolves news including a player being injured whilst on international duty and the latest on a reported transfer target.

Korea are one of the favourites for the competition and are managed by former Spurs striker Jurgen Klinsmann. The tournament is due to run until February 10, and he could miss up to four Premier League fixtures.

He has already been ruled out of their two FA Cup matches with Brentford and their potential fourth-round tie with West Brom later this month.

Meanwhile, Marseille are said to have entered the race to sign in-demand West Ham forward Said Benrahma. French outlet Foot Mercato say that Marseille have made a ‘first offer’ to West Ham for Benrahama. Wolves along with Brentford and their West London rivals Fulham are said to be keen on the player.

Marseille are said to have made a loan offer with an option-to-buy but that hasn’t interested West Ham who are said to have refused it. It’s reported by the French media that it will cost €23m to sign him. Benrahma has made 21 appearances for David Moyes’ side this season but has registered just one goal contribution and has only made eight starts. He was not included in Algeria’s squad for the Africa Cup of Nations this month.

As for any potential move from Wolves for Benrahama, the English press believe that Wolves will prioritise loan deals this window as they aim to steer clear from any Financial Fair Play rule breaches. Everton and Nottingham Forest have both been charged and will soon find out the full extent of their punishments.
