West Ham United: Jarrod Bowen expected to sign new deal to make him one of club’s highest earners

Jarrod Bowen is expected to sign a new long-term deal at West Ham over the next few months, according to Sean Whetstone.

The 6foot2 editor tweeted on Thursday (28 September) that the England international is presently awaiting an offer that would make him one of the highest-paid players at the London Stadium, if not the highest-paid.

He also stated that negotiations with the 26-year-old forward are expected to be completed in the coming months, as his present contract expires in 2025.

Get it done

This is something that should be right near the top of the West Ham hierarchy’s priority list at this moment in time as Bowen is absolutely crucial to the side.

Since joining the Hammers from Hull City in 2020, he has become one of the first names on the teamsheet and emerged as one of the best wingers in the Premier League.

That form has also earned him international recognition and caught the eyes of other clubs, with Liverpool continuously linked with a move for him.

Bowen scored one of the most famous goals in the Irons’ history last season when he registered the winner in the Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina.

There is absolutely no way we can afford to let his contract get anywhere close to expiring and, while he’s interested in signing a new deal, we should agree to make him one of the highest earners because he deserves that status.
