The Washington Commanders will have a lot of new challenges for the 2024 season. One of those challenges will be how patient can the fans be during this rebuild. Washington finished with a 4-13 record last season.
Ron Rivera was shown the door as head coach. They hired Dan Quinn as head coach. He was the Dallas Cowboys’ defensive coordinator a season ago. Washington also made changes to its front office and they hired Adam Peters to be the general manager.
On a similar note, Washington should look into giving Daniels another weapon whether it’s via a trade or a free-agent signing. Outside of Terry McLaurin, the Commanders’ receiving corps is rather uninspiring so throwing another pass-catcher into the mix could help the rookie quarterback and offense as a whole hit the ground running.”
The current starting wide receivers on the Washington Commanders will be Jahan Dotson, Terry McLaurin, and rookie Luke McCaffrey. Dyami Brown is projected to also be in the mix for Washington this season.
Aiyuk has been linked in trade rumors all NFL offseason long. He is looking for a new contract and the Washington Commanders could make a ton of sense for Brandon Aiyuk.
Peters is very familiar with him with his time in the San Francisco 49ers front office. Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels needs a true number-one wide receiver.
It would help Daniels excel right away in the NFL. Aiyuk is 26 years old and is in the prime of his NFL career. Last season with the San Francisco 49ers, he caught 75 passes for 1,342 yards receiving and seven touchdowns, along with averaging 17.9 yards per reception. Brandon Aiyuk was targeted 105 times.
A receiving core of Brandon Aiyuk, Terry McLaurin, and Jahan Dotson would be a very good trio for rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. They lost receiver Curtis Samuel to the Buffalo Bills this offseason and the Washington Commanders landing Aiyuk in a trade would be a game-changer for them.
