“Very Unstoppable” – Tyreek Hill Deems The ‘Tush Push’ A Nightmare To Play Against, Hopes The NFL Won’t Ban It Because Of ‘Fun’ Element

The Philadelphia Eagles’ much-discussed “tush push” or “brotherly shove” action has been a distinguishing characteristic of the team’s season in the NFL. In the Miami Dolphins’ 31-17 loss to the Eagles, Tyreek Hill got a close-up look at this unusual play.

In his “It Needed To Be Said” podcast, Hill discussed the play and pondered whether the league should ban the unstoppable move after seeing how effective it was against his own team. As stated by Hill:

It’s one of those plays that they enjoy launching into a fresh movement. It’s a quarterback sneak, and it can’t be stopped.”

He continued:

“I feel like with their All-Pro offensive line that they got and then Jalen Hurts, who’s able to squat like 600 pounds… then you got A.J. Brown pushing you in the back, you got the tight end pushing you in the back. It’s hard to stop, man. I’ve seen those guys do it on 4th and 2 once and get it, which is crazy.”

Surprisingly, Hill isn”t against the play, and he hopes the league doesn”t ban it. He firmly believes it”s a legal and legitimate strategy. He even mentioned that it”s an enjoyable play to watch, and he had a front-row view of how the Eagles executed the “Tush-Push” from the sidelines during the game against Miami.

In case you’re not familiar, on pivotal third or fourth downs, the quarterback lines up under center and gets pushed from behind by his teammates as he advances to secure a first down. This play is affectionately nicknamed by Eagles fans as the “Tush-Push.” This is another play the Eagles use close to the goal line to score scores.
