Leonard Hamilton: UNC ‘really improved’ since last meeting against FSU

Florida State head coach Leonard Hamilton named ACC Coach of the Year -  Tomahawk Nation

North carolina  made Florida State its latest victim Saturday during its undefeated start to ACC play. The Tar Heels picked up their 10th straight win and improved to 9-0 in ACC play with a 75-68 win over the Seminoles in Tallahassee. FSU head coach Leonard Hamilton praised UNC after the game, stating that the Tar Heels have “really improved” since the two teams’ first meeting on Dec. 2, a 78-70 UNC win.

“I have to give Carolina credit,” Hamilton said after the game. “They did a tremendous defensive job, especially in the s halfecond. We showed a lot of inexperience, and they took advantage. Defensively, we could have done a better josb contesting those threes. But that’s what great teams. They’ve really improved since the last time we played them.”

Hamilton went in-depth on why Florida State faltered down the stretch after taking control late in the first half. He touched on the steady improvement his team has made this season and the Seminoles’ chances at the NCAA Tournament, among everything.
