THE LATEST SPORT NEWS
Tottenham star Dejan Kulusevski has heaped praise on Nottingham Forest flyer Anthony Elanga. The Reds player has come in for some praise from a player he plays alongside for Sweden.
Elanga signed for Forest during the summer of 2023. He cost the club just £15 million and he’s already producing the goods, outscoring and assisting more often than his old teammates at Old Trafford.
On Sunday he was handed another start in the team. He helped Forest defeat Aston Villa 2-0 at the City Ground to end a run of six straight games without a victory.
The Tottenham man was recently quizzed about future talents and was asked to pick one from his club and one from his country to make waves in the future.
When picking one from Sweden, Kulusevski opted for Forest forward Elanga and he believes in the 21-year-old.
The Tottenham star said at the launch of FC Futures: “In Sweden, I believe in every player but if I have to pick one player I think Anthony Elanga has a great future.”
With Callum Hudson-Odoi out injured, Elanga now has a chance to grasp his Forest opportunity. He has started every game since the 23-year-old was ruled out and he’s improving all the time.
Elanga still has things to work on but that doesn’t make the Forest man any different to other youngsters. He is working hard at the moment and on Saturday he caused Aston Villa all sorts of problems.
Forest signed well in the summer and Elanga was one of the signings that really fits in with what Steve Cooper is trying to do. He’s a talented player at the right end of his career to improve and he also didn’t cost the earth.
