Serbia’s national team coach, Svetislav Pesic, refuted speculations suggesting that Nikola Jokic from the Denver Nuggets had made a decision to join the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In an interview with B92.sport, Pesic dismissed claims of Jokic’s involvement as “fake news.” He criticized a Twitter journalist for spreading misinformation and assured that accurate details would be provided in due time. Furthermore, Jokic himself emphasized the uncertainty surrounding his participation with the national team this summer. Thus, it remains unclear whether he will ultimately join the team. Notably, Jokic’s last appearance for the Serbia national team was during EuroBasket 2022, where they faced an unexpected defeat against Italy in the quarterfinals.
