South Carolina issues new contracts, raises to Shane Beamer’s coaching staff…
South Carolina did not make the College Football Playoff, but the Gamecocks finished the regular season 9-3 and earned coveted “Team no one would want to play in an even larger Playoff” status, which is pretty good in its own right. A win over No. 20 Illinois in the Citrus Bowl gives the 14th-ranked Gamecocks 10 victories for the first time since 2013.

As reported by Gamecock Scoop (no relation) on Tuesday, South Carolina’s Board of Trustees approved a 3-year contract for offensive coordinator Mike Shula and across-the-board raises and extensions for the nine remaining assistants.

Every South Carolina assistant is now under contract through at least the 2026 season, and all 10 now earn north of half a million dollars per year.
Shula’s 3-year deal starts at $1.1 million per year, while defensive coordinator Clayton White netted a 3-year extension that boosted his salary to $1.9 million. He is now under contract through 2028, and will make $2 million in 2025 and $2.1 million from 2026-28.
