Sky Sports share how many new signings West Ham United could make before 11pm tomorrow

West Ham United may have finished their incoming business in the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports.

The publication reported on its website on Thursday (31 August) that the Hammers are still in the market for a new forward.

But there is a “chance” that no new signing will arrive, with potential deals for PSG’s Hugo Ekitike and Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri “difficult,” Sky Sports noted.

“West Ham are still in the market to recruit a forward in the final days of the window and remain in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over Hugo Ekitike,” according to Sky Sports. “A loan and a permanent move are under discussion for the 21-year-old.

“West Ham also remain in dialogue with Sevilla over Youssef En-Nesyri. However, both deals are difficult to complete and there is a chance West Ham’s incoming business is done.”

West Ham have had an intriguing summer transfer window so far, which all began in devastating fashion with the expected loss of star man and club captain Declan Rice.

Fans became increasingly worried as the weeks went on that he would not be replaced successfully, but their fears were quashed as both Edson Alvarez and James Ward-Prowse arrived at the London Stadium.

With the midfield strengthened, David Moyes then turned to his defence, bringing in former Arsenal centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos from Stuttgart to help the likes of Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd at the back.

And now it is seemingly time for the manager to reinforce his attacking options, but unfortunately time is rapidly running out to bring either Ekitike or En-Nesyri to the club.

As per Sky Sports (30 August), a deal for another target in Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto has collapsed, and it could be a similar situation when it comes to the other two targets.
