Fulham ‘would have been prepared’ to pay for player – Currently ‘more successful than Mbappe and Haaland’

Fulham ‘would have been prepared’ to pay the €15m to sign Serhou Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart as they looked to sign him as a replacement for Aleksandr Mitrovic.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Fulham were interested in signing the striker but put a price tag on the transaction.

According to a source last month, Fulham had pursued Guirassy but failed to reach an agreement with Stuttgart for him late in the transfer season.

That did not detail the price they would have paid but Sky now say that Marco Silva’s side ‘would have been prepared’ to pay the €15m that was required.

The issue, it appears, was the player who’refused’ the offer and preferred to remain with the German team. His family is content where they are, and he appreciates the ‘enormous praise’ he has received from all parts of the club.

He’s now repaid that faith with goals, with eight league goals in his first four league games, making him Europe’s most lethal striker.

He is currently’more successful’ than Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland and is at the top of the rankings ahead of significant competition. The fact that he has scored from only eight shots, giving him a 100% success rate, makes it even more astounding.

That ‘pure efficiency’ is unlikely to have gone unnoticed, particularly at Fulham, who could do with a striker like that after losing Mitrovic.
