Wolves think they’ve made a £5m signing which could turn out to be brilliant

Wolves signed six new players over the summer, including Enzo Gonzalez, who the club is thought to be very pleased about.

The team signed the Paraguayan teenager the day before the transfer deadline.

He arrived at the same time as Santiago Bueno, who came from Girona.

Gonzalez joined from Libertad, the team from which Brighton signed Julio Enciso.

Gonzalez will be compared to Enciso, who has made an impression in his short time in English football.

Wolves, on the other hand, are overjoyed with their £5 million signing…

Wolves very excited about Enso Gonzalez

According to The Athletic, spies with the Wolves first saw Gonzalez last season.

And the conviction was that he had a genuine talent.

The club opted to make their move near the close of the summer transfer season, and the transaction worked out perfectly for Wolves.

This was a young player who came in for a low fee and low earnings.

Wolves are thought to believe it is a low-risk, high-reward transaction.

Wolves last signed a South American player in January, when Joao Gomes came from Flamengo.

The club had seen him develop nicely in his first eight months at the club, and have been looking to bring more players of his profile to the club.

Enso Gonzalez needs time to bed in

Gonzalez appears to have the potential to be a future superstar.

But, for the time being, he’ll need lots of time to settle in.

He is only 18 years old and has come from another continent.

He doesn’t speak English yet, so it’s all about Gonzalez settling in at Wolves in these first three months.

Wolves anticipate him competing for first-team minutes.

However, for Gonzalez, English football and living in England may be a culture shock at first.

Patience will be required with him, but he will surely have tremendous fan support.
