Sebastian Kehl hails ‘incredibly ambitious’ Edin Terzic

Edin Terzic has received appreciation from Sebastian Kehl, who claimed that they were and still are completely confident that he is the best candidate for the position at Borussia Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund had a challenging start to the year, and after the 2-2 draw with Heidenheim last month, there were some calls for Edin Terzic to be fired. But the 40-year-old was able to steer the club clear of peril. Since then, the Black and Yellows have won their past four Bundesliga games.

Terzic has always had the backing of Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke, but there have been rumors of conflicts with Sebastian Kehl over summer transfer decisions. But Terzic has already received praise from the BVB sporting director for the work he is doing. Kehl stated that Terzic’s abilities have never been in question in an interview with WAZ.

“If a coach who is only 40 years old wasn’t able to develop further, then that would be a bad sign and things wouldn’t work.”

“Edin is able to make tough decisions. He shows courage when he makes changes in games at half-time. He wants to develop this team in all areas. I see every day that he is incredibly driven, incredibly ambitious. We were and are convinced of him and have never had any doubts about that.”

Edin Terzic nearly led Borussia Dortmund to the Bundesliga title last season, and will be determined to go one better this time around.

Sebastian Kehl also commented on his own future at Borussia Dortmund, with his current contract set to expire at the end of next season. The former BVB captain is very relaxed about his future at the moment, and is only concerned about leading the club to sporting success.
