Salt Lake City Five people, including a 12-year-old boy, were killed in a fiery plane crash in Mesa, Arizona, on Tuesday night. Provo was the destination of the private aircraft. Family members told KSL TV that the passengers on the aircraft intended to attend a basketball game at Brigham Young University.
On Tuesday afternoon, footage of the crash’s aftermath was taken at Falcon Field Airport in Mesa. Five people were on board when the jet lost control and crashed soon after takeoff, according to investigators. It killed the driver and four passengers when it flew off the runway onto the road and collided with a car. One of the passengers, an 18-year-old guy, survived the crash. His status is stable while he remains in the hospital.
The names of those deceased on the plane were made public by the Mesa Police Department on Wednesday. They are: 43-year-old Spencer Lindahl Randall, Rustin, 48 44-year-old Drew Kimball Graham Kimball, age 12 The person who was killed in the car was not identified.
According to his family, Lindahl, who was born and raised in Utah, owned the aircraft.
They informed KSL that his son had survived the collision. Lindahl leaves behind four children and a wife. Randall, Lindahl’s business partner, Drew Kimball, and his 12-year-old son Graham Kimball were also killed in the collision.
Lindahl’s family informed KSL that they had lost a wonderful brother and are simply devastated. They stated Lindahl helped operate a profitable property management business in Arizona and was an amazing husband and father. On Wednesday morning, Lindahl’s 20-year-old daughter, who had missed her father by less than a day, returned from an 18-month mission to Brazil for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Randall also leaves four children and a wife behind. In an effort to determine what went wrong, the FAA and NTSB are looking into the crash’s cause.
