Birmingham City Suffer Double Injury Blow
Birmingham City have confirmed that duo Keshi Anderson and Lee Buchanan have picked up injuries, further adding to the club’s injury list according to a report from Birmingham Live.
The duo arrived at St. Andrews was during the summer transfer window but has now been added to the long list of players that are currently sidelined through injury.
Start to the season
Beginning with Keshi Anderson, the 28-year-old arrived following a successful trial after leaving Blackpool. The midfielder has made nine appearances in all competitions this season but has been limited to just one assist so far.
Meanwhile, Buchanan arrived from Germany in the summer with the aim of making the left-back spot his own. The former Derby County man has made seven appearances so far this season but has seen himself on the receiving end of a red card.
A much improved start
Birmingham City currently sit 10th in the Championship, after a strong start to the season. During their opening eight league matches, the Blues have three wins and three draws.
However, Birmingham are currently on a run of five matches without a victory in all conceptions, which has led to an EFL Cup exit as well as slipping out of the play-off places.

Speaking ahead of the upcoming Championship clash against Norwich, John Eustace stated…
“Keshi [Anderson] will be out for about 6-8 weeks. Lee [Buchanan] got injured on Monday, he went over on his ankle in training, which is a massive blow for us, he will be out for 5-6 weeks. Tyler [Roberts] has had a setback so he will be another 5-6 weeks.”

Birmingham City had enjoyed an excellent start to the season before slipping up in recent matches and injuries are slowly beginning to take their toll.
Buchanan has been a strong addition to John Eustace’s side but with him, Anderson and Roberts (to name three) out with injuries, it adds pressure onto the replacements who will be tasked with stepping up to the plate and getting the side back to winning ways.
