  • Red Dragons are accustomed to winning
  • Endured rare wobble of late
  • Still chasing down another promotion

WHAT HAPPENED?

After breaking all previous records to win the National League title the previous season, the Red Dragons have become used to being victorious. They moved up into the League Two promotion spots in 2023–24 thanks to their strong performance, and at one point they looked like they could take the top spot.

BOLTON’S QUOTES RELATING TO WREXHAM
There have been some setbacks recently, including four straight losses in all competitions. Phil Parkinson has pledged to reverse the situation, and Luke Bolton, who was signed in January, will complement teamwork at SToK Racecourse: Naturally, nobody enjoys losing sports. Both the players and the manager are not interested in losing. The quality in that changing room is more than enough to get us up, so I just say stay with us because things will get better. As a close-knit group, we will continue to stick together. We cannot linger over issues. We’ll turn the corner, and I’m confident we’ll get back on course.

THE LARGER IMAGE
Bolton, who is vying with Ryan Bennett for a starting position at right wing-back, joined Wrexham from Salford during the winter transfer window. He has made two substitute appearances thus far. Regarding his own endeavors in North Wales, he continued, “It has been a lot of fun. The guys have been fantastic, and collaborating with Steve Parkin and the gaffer has been enjoyable. I must exercise patience. Barney’s performance on Saturday was excellent, so the manager will find it challenging to manage two aggressive wing-backs. I’ll make an effort to approach people whenever I have the chance, eject supporters from their seats, and support the team in any way I can.

FUTURE PLANS FOR WREXHAM?
Tuesday is Wrexham’s return to action as they travel to Sutton. Despite dropping to fifth place in the League Two standings, Parkinson’s team still has games in hand on all of their rivals and is determined to finish in the top three.
