PSG PREPARING €25M BID FOR PSV EINDHOVEN WINGER JOHAN BAKAYOKO

According to De Telegraaf, Paris Saint-Germain are showing serious interest in PSV winger Johan Bakayoko and they’re set to submit a bid worth €25m this week. Last Friday, Burnley made a move for the 20-year-old Belgium international, submitting a €20m offer. That was almost immediately rejected by the Eredivisie club, which indicates that PSG probably won’t succeed in their efforts unless they up their offer for the talented winger.

The French champions had initially made an offer for Bakayoko back in January, but at the time PSV had just sold Cody Gakpo and Noni Madueke and refused to cooperate with the departure of another winger. That could change with just four days remaining in the transfer window. PSV are yet to make a large sale this summer, having spent over €35m in total, bringing in the likes of Noa Lang, Jerdy Schouten and Ricardo Pepi. A transfer for Johan Bakayoko could happen within the next few days if PSV receive a bid of around €30-35m.

Johan Bakayoko featured 39 times in all competitions last season as PSV finished second in the Eredivisie and lifted the KNVB Cup. The academy graduate scored nine goals and provided six assists. Already, Bakayoko has kicked off the new campaign in superb style. The four-time Belgium international has provided four assists within his side’s first five games in all competitions. Unsurprisingly, his fantastic form has attracted interest from several sides. Burnley boss Vincent Kompany is one of the winger’s biggest admirers, and now PSG want to bring the youngster to the Parc des Princes.
