Nottingham Forest sent transfer regret message as forgotten man leaves

Nottingham Forest have revealed that Giulian Biancone has left the club on a permanent basis to join Olympiacos.

Trentside’s defender departs the City Ground after just over a year. He made just three appearances for the Reds after suffering a significant knee injury in training that kept him out for much of last season.

His most recent and final appearance in a Reds shirt was during the 0-0 draw at Brighton on October 18 last year. Biancone had shown signs of recovery on social media from his serious injury after posting several updates, but he will now be playing his football in Greece.

James: I feel so sorry for him. He worked so hard to recover from injury to fight for a place and was never given an opportunity.

Simpsons NFFC: Seemed a top guy, really unlucky with injury but was realistically 7th or 8th choice so makes sense for him to make a move to get some football. Hope he smashes it at Olympiakos.

John Michael White: You can’t help but really like the guy when you see the effort he put into getting over that terrible injury. Good bloke and a good pro. Really hope he goes on to be a massive success in Greece.

Henrik NFFC Johansen: A bit sad about this one… Seemed like a really good guy with a great attitude, but his injury ruined it. Best of luck to him in Greece. YOU REDS!

Kerry: Good luck Giulian, wish you’d got to play more for us.

Spencer: Them minutes against Man City wont be forgotten king.

Max: Unlucky with the injury but probably best for all parties.

Alladge Gervens: Good luck. Always felt like a precautionary transfer in case we dropped. Hope he gets back into form and brings glory to Greek sister club. He loved Forest, which makes him a king.
