According to rumors, Nottingham Forest are still interested in signing Florentino Luis. During the summer transfer window, the Reds were heavily associated with the Benfica player, but chose for other options.

According to O Jogo, Forest and Fulham are still interested in bringing the player to the Premier League. Behind the scenes, plans for the January transfer window will be ongoing, and it appears that Luis is sought.

Benfica ultimately decided not to sell the 24-year-old. PSG signed Goncalo Ramos, and the Portuguese club did not want to lose two great players in the same transfer window.

However, they are not out of the woods in terms of keeping Luis. The player is under contract in Portugal until 2027 and is safeguarded by a release clause worth somewhat more than £100 million.

The report actually claims that Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also keen. Luis

Forest still wants Luis, but it makes no sense.
It’s logical for the Reds to want to retain good players on their radar. However, after signing Ibrahim Sangare, it appears unlikely that they will try to sign Luis anytime soon.

In midway, the forest appears to be well-stocked. Sangare will keep things calm in the midfield, while Nicolas Dominguez appears to have something to offer the Forest.

is a wanted man at the moment and it remains to be seen how long his current club can keep hold of him.

Luis is an excellent player. Rui Vitoria earlier described him as “exceptional,” and he appears to be on track to play in a big European league on a regular basis at some point during his career.

However, playing at Forest in the future may prove difficult. He’s a comparable age to Sangare, and it appears doubtful that the Portuguese midfielder would join Trentside when the transfer window reopens.
