Milan winger Chukwueze predicts future as a coach for ex-Serie A defender and Leicester City striker

Samuel Chukwueze, a Milan winger, feels Kelechi Iheanacho and William Paul Troost-Ekong will likely become managers at the end of their careers rather than winning the Champions League three times.

The new Rossoneri signing is currently on international duty with Nigeria and spoke to Football Fans Tribe about his initial months with the Rossoneri.

“I already have an Italian teacher, which is what the coach wants, so I’m gradually learning and adapting to the language and everything,” he explained.

The ex-Villarreal winger was also asked who in Nigeria’s current squad has the best possibility of becoming a coach in the future.

“Kelechi Iheanacho because he always talks about football and tactics, and William Paul Troost-Ekong because he’s a leader,” he explained.

Troost-Ekong is a familiar face to Serie A fans, having previously played for Udinese and Salernitana. He has one goal in 74 Serie A appearances for Watford and joined Greek side PAOK last summer after a six-month loan at Salernitana.

Finally, Chukwueze was questioned whether he would rather win the World Cup once or three times in the Champions League.

“I think I’d rather have one World Cup.” Winning the World Cup would be insane for Nigeria; I doubt I’d sleep for three days,” he smiled.

“I wouldn’t even pick up my coach’s phone calls.” If we win, I will not return his calls for a month.”

Chukwueze joined Milan in a permanent €20 million deal from Villarreal this summer and has made three substitute appearances for the Rossoneri this season.
