Middlesbrough star’s move to Aston Villa ‘imminent’ as agreement for ex-Manchester City man struck

Middlesbrough star Morgan Rogers is reportedly set to join Aston Villa.

As useful as his form has been to Michael Carrick’s team, it looks that his time at the Riverside has come to an abrupt end.

The 21-year-old has been a hit at the Riverside, shining on a regular basis since making the switch from Manchester City in the summer window.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that a move to Premier League team Villa is “imminent.” According to reports, Rogers left Middlesbrough’s training facility to travel to the Midlands after reaching a verbal agreement.

It is thought that medical examinations have been scheduled, and Rogers’ time as a Middlesbrough player appears to be drawing to an end.

Romano posted on X, saying: “We’re going to get Morgan Rogers to Aston Villa!” Verbal agreement in place for a gifted English winger with Middlesbrough. Following acceptance of the final offer, Boro is currently departing the training facility to travel. Next day, medical tests are scheduled, and AVFC signing is soon to happen.

After going on several loan stints away from Manchester City, Rogers joined Middlesbrough. However, none of those stints gave him access to Pep Guardiola’s team at the Etihad Stadium.

This season, he has made 33 appearances for Middlesbrough in all competitions, tallying nine assists and seven goals.
