Manager tells £120,000-a-week player wanted by Nottingham Forest he’s overweightv

Tanguy Ndombele, a midfielder for Tottenham, was linked to Nottingham Forest throughout the summer, and it’s perhaps for the best that he wasn’t signed.

After all, the Frenchman signed with Galatasaray, and the team isn’t too fond of the £120,000-per-week player.

Forest looked at

Ndombele when a deal for Ibrahim Sangare looked unlikely to happen during the transfer window.

Steve Cooper identified a defensive midfielder and cheaper alternatives to Sangare were being compiled.

Forest-linked Ndombele hasn’t impressed Galatasaray

Ndombele is the subject of an astounding claim according to a Turkish report, and it appears Forest made the right decision by avoiding the player.

Fotospor has stated that Ndombele’s 6 kg weight is the reason he isn’t being selected right now!

In the big picture, that might not seem like much, but keep in mind that this is a professional athlete.Avv

After a recent game against Bayern Munich, Forest-linked Ndombele further infuriated manager Okan Buruk by placing an order for a hamburger at a restaurant

Forest did well to avoid signing Tottenham man

At 26-years-old, Ndombele should be in his prime. Last season, he did help Napoli win Serie A but they chose not to sign him permanently.

Now, perhaps it’s clear why he was forced to settle for a move to Turkey and not stay in a major European league.

Forest don’t need any passengers in their time and thankfully, they chose to ride it out for Sangare and didn’t opt for Ndombele.

The Reds now have a plethora of midfielders in their squad. Sangare has struck up a relationship with Orel Mangala and Nicolas Dominguez in recent weeks.

Ryan Yates and Andrey Santos are options in reserve; with Cheikhou Kouyate further down the pecking order.
