It's time for Leicester City's Daniel Iversen to get Premier League chanceCrystal Palace are plotting to sign Daniel Iversen and Kelechi Ihanacho from Championship side Leicester City, according to Alan Nixon.

The Premier League side are assessing goalkeeping options and have highlighted Manchester United’s Dean Henderson as their prime target as Vicente Guaita looks to leave the club. The former Nottingham Forest loanee could be available on a loan to buy deal, but any deal would be hard to broker with Steve Cooper’s side maintain an interest, despite backing off in recent weeks.

Due to the complexity of the deal they may look to either Southampton’s Alex McCarthy or Daniel Ivesen from Leicester City. The latter joined the Foxes in 2018 from Esbjerg fB, and progressed through their youth ranks before heading out on loan to Oldham Athletic, Rotherham United, OH Leuven and two spells at Preston North End. He has made 212 appearances at senior level, keeping 55 clean sheets in the process.

Iheanacho is also a target for the Premier League side, with an inquiry having been submitted in the last few days. This comes as the club join the race for talented forward Jesrun Rak-Sakyi on loan. Iheanacho has impressed since joining The Foxes in 2017 from Manchester City, making 210 appearances in all competitions whilst chipping in with 56 goals and 34 assists as his side picked up the FA Cup in 2021. He is also a Nigerian international making 45 appearances for his national side and competed in the 2018 World Cup and 2022 African Cup.

The loss of a player such as Iheanacho would come as a major blow to Leicester City as they look to bounce back at the first time of asking. Roy Hodgson’s side are hoping to continue their impressive stay in the Premier League after securing victory in their opening day fixture against Sheffield Wednesday. Iversen on the otherhand I sense is a back up option, should Dean Henderson or Alex McCarthy not materialise
