Cincinnati is trying to bounce back from the worst season this century by addressing its biggest weakness.CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bearcats secondary is getting a major boost over the past few days as Virginia Tech cornerback Derrick Canteen is committing to the program.

Canteen was elite defending the run this past season after transferring from Georgia State. He tallied 42 tackles, one interception, and five pass breakups across 418 snaps.

It was good enough for a 69.5 overall PFF grade and a 91.5 run defense mark.
