Lando Norris remarks that it was overdue for Max Verstappen to feel some pressure again at the forefront of Formula 1. He states a shift in mindset, indicating that he no longer underestimates McLaren’s potential ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, which could potentially shake up the F1 title race.

Heading into the prestigious event, Norris is riding on the momentum of his best career results, including a recent victory in Miami over Verstappen. In the previous race in Imola, he came close to another win, finishing within one second of the Red Bull driver, who showed signs of frustration over his car’s performance and traffic.

Norris, reflecting on the race, mentions that while he did what he thought was right, there’s always room for improvement. He acknowledges that Verstappen facing pressure is a positive change and expresses confidence in McLaren’s ability to compete with Red Bull and Ferrari.

Despite Verstappen’s dominance in the championship, Norris remains optimistic about McLaren’s chances, not ruling out a potential challenge for the title in 2024 or even earlier. He emphasizes the unpredictability of Monaco and vows to approach the race with positivity and confidence, despite it not being McLaren’s strongest track historically.
