QPR confirm signing of youngster Shann

QPR have completed the signing of left-back Casey Shann.

After excelling during a trial, the 19-year-old, who was released by Brighton this summer, has been granted a one-year deal.

West London Sport recently announced he had joined the club on trial, and Rangers were due to sign him on Wednesday morning.

Shann, as a free agent, can be signed outside of the transfer window.

He played for Sutton United before joining Brighton in January of last year, and he also spent time on Tottenham’s books.

Shann has been signed to play for Rangers’ development team at first.

In terms of the first-team roster, manager Gareth Ainsworth wants to add at least one attacking player.

A number of forwards who are currently unattached have been examined as prospective acquisitions.

Rangers continue to be interested in re-signing veteran striker Chris Martin, who has been weighing his options since his short-term contract expired at the end of last season.
