The Kansas City Chiefs and four-time All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce have reached an agreement on a two-year contract extension, keeping him with the Super Bowl champions until the 2027 season. Kelce, who was selected by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2013 draft, holds the franchise record for all-time receiving yards with 11,328 yards.

This extension follows Kelce’s previous deals, including a four-year, $57.25 million contract signed in 2020 and a $46 million five-year contract inked in 2016. The new extension is anticipated to once again position him among the highest-paid tight ends in the league.

Kelce, at 34 years old, remains a pivotal part of the Chiefs’ offense, contributing to their success, including their Super Bowl LVIII victory against the San Francisco 49ers. Known not only for his on-field performance but also for his off-field ventures, Kelce has garnered attention for his crossover appeal, including his relationship with pop icon Taylor Swift and appearances on shows like “Saturday Night Live.”

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes celebrated the news, affirming his commitment to Kelce by stating, “I told y’all I’ll never let him leave!! Congrats my guy!”
