‘Incredible Michael Brown can’t believe what Nottingham Forest star did yesterday

Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest has come under fire following the club’s defeat to Manchester City yesterday. The Reds were defeated 2-0, and the forward was involved in Rodri’s dismissal.

BBC Sport’s Michael Brown was there to cover the game. He began his playing career with City and did not believe Gibbs-White made himself look good in the situation.

The 23-year-old may not have needed to act as he did by falling to the ground. However, in this day and age, it is becoming more of a popular theme among players.

Rodri didn’t have to wrap both of his large hands around Gibbs-White’s neck. That alone would have earned the Spaniard a red card, and there was just no reason for it.

Forest man Gibbs-White is coming in for some flak, however. Brown isn’t happy with how he behaved during that flash point in the contest and has criticised him.

“He goes to touch him on the neck, Gibbs-White dives straight down,” he told BBC Sport. The response was incredible. There’s no need for that.”

Brown criticizes Forest’s Gibbs-White.
The former City, Sheffield United, and Leeds United player is completely wrong here. Rodri doesn’t only go for Gibbs-White’s neck; he grabs him with both hands.

Brown might be able to explain why Rodri was looking for Gibbs-White’s neck in the first place. Was he looking for an autograph, or did he plan to trade shirts with the player after the game?

Pep Guardiola later stated that Rodri was remorseful for what he did to Forest star Gibbs-White. Why was he apologizing if he didn’t appear to have done anything wrong?

Brown has to brush up on the rules of the game here. Rodri lifted his hands, and while Gibbs-White was easily knocked to the ground, the Forest man cannot be chastised for such a dumb gesture by an experienced player.
