Boston Scott is another return that makes a lot of sense. Having signed one-year contracts for the previous three seasons with the Eagles, the running back is the master of the one-year contract. The Eagles’ decision to give him another one makes sense.
This season, Philly’s running back room is not mysterious. Saquon Barkley will be the star of the show, with Kenny Gainwell receiving the leftover scraps.
The Eagles usually carry four or even five running backs, but Rashaad Penny was essentially a spare part last season, seeing only thirty-one offensive snaps.
There are just two on the waiting list at the moment: Tyrion Davis-Price and Lew Nichols. Davis-Price checks in at t6-1, 232, while Nichols checks in at 5-11, 220. Both players have comparable builds.
On February 20, Davis-Price was signed again. Davis-Price was a third-round draft choice of the San Francisco 49ers. His only 1,000-yard season (1,003) came in his final year at LSU. He only played seven games in two seasons with the Niners, but in three seasons there, he ran for fifteen touchdowns.
