Leeds United attacker Mateo Joseph ready to play v Millwall despite being in crutches recently – Injury Expert

Dr. Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has joined us as an exclusive columnist. He’ll be sharing his thoughts on the Leeds United injury situation every week…

According to Dr. Rajpal Brar, Leeds United forward Mateo Joseph is finally able to play for 90 minutes after being out for months.

According to the injury expert, the 19-year-old suffered a Grade 2 ankle inversion, which kept him out of the game.

Daniel Farke claimed that he has used crutches and has been fitted with a protective boot to aid with his recovery.

Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, told MOT Leeds News exclusively: “He suffered a grade 2 inversion sprain injury.”

“His time on crutches was determined by how he responded to physio, and he was most likely placed in a CAM boot before gradually transitioning back into a shoe.”

Training will have been a gradual increase in intensity and with ankle injuries, the key is often tolerating side-to-side movements effectively.

“He now seems ready to play for the Whites post the international break.”

Joseph is yet to play a minute for Leeds this season, but he came off the bench in the 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.

He was not loaned out by the Whites this summer, thus he could play for the first team in the coming weeks.

It remains to be seen what Farke considers to be his best position, and with the Whites out of the Carabao Cup, he can’t even give him a cup start.

In other Leeds United news, an Injury Expert has disclosed that a recent revelation has resulted in a Leeds player being ruled out until October.
