Cooper gives three full debuts, ‘unstoppable’ star plays: Forest predicted XI vs Burnley

Nottingham Forest host Burnley at the City Ground tonight, with three points on the line, and we’ve put together a predicted XI.

For the first time in recent years, the Reds will face the Clarets in the league, and Vincent Kompany’s club will be looking for their first points of the season.

Forest, on the other hand, is in good shape. They’ve won two of their four games so far, including a road victory over Chelsea.

We’ve looked ahead to tonight’s game to see who we think Steve Cooper will start on Trentside.

Nottingham Forest’s expected starting XI vs. Burnley
The Forest’s defenders
Cooper may opt for a back four tonight in order to make Forest more offensive.

Matt Turner’s wife is set to give birth, but no news at this time is good news, and he may be able to keep his position this evening.

Serge Aurier should be able to shake off a knock and take his position in the starting lineup at right back.

Nuno Tavares, who came off the bench against Chelsea, might make his full debut on the left.

Cooper now has various choices at center-back. Joe Worrall is in great shape and will keep his spot after signing a new deal.

Along with him, the Reds could witness the return of Moussa Niakhate. He’d be the obvious choice on the left of the two, and starting him would be a wise approach.

Ibrahim Sangare, the Forest engine room, will almost certainly start for the Reds this evening. The ‘unstoppable’ player will make his debut after joining from PSV for £30 million on deadline day.

Cooper is expected to use a 4-3-3 formation this evening, thus both Orel Mangala and Ryan Yates will likely start.

Danilo is expected to miss the game due to a hamstring injury suffered against Chelsea.

In charge of the Forest line
The three attackers will most likely move from their positions and be adaptable.

Morgan Gibbs-White and Taiwo Awoniyi both choose themselves, despite being arguably the best players on the team.

Elsewhere, a choice about who will replace the vacuum left by Brennan Johnson could be made.

Anthony Elanga is the obvious choice, but he opted out of international service due to a niggle.

As a result, Callum Hudson-Odoi might make another debut, this time as the starter.

The Nottingham Forest XI may look like this tonight:
