PLAYMAKER MAY NOT JOIN NEWCASTLE UNITED OR BURNLEY NOW

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United and Vincent Kompany’s Burnley will reportedly miss out on the signing of Benjamin Rollheiser.

According to The Sun, Newcastle United, Burnley and Sheffield United are interested in signing Benjamin Rollheiser from Estudiantes in the summer transfer window.

The report in the British tabloid, though, has claimed that Newcastle, Burnley or United will not be able to secure the services of Rollheiser.

That’s because the 23-year-old attacking midfielder is on his way to FC Zenit Saint Petersburg this summer.

The Sun has claimed that Zenit are close to a £12 million deal with Estudiantes for Rollheiser, who can also operate as a winger or as a centre-forward.

Newcastle United and Burnley should continue to monitor Benjamin Rollheiser

In our opinion, Newcastle United and Burnley should continue to keep tabs on Benjamin Rollheiser.

Just because the playmaker is on his way to Russia does not mean that Premier League clubs Newcastle and Burnley should give up on signing the youngster in the future.

After all, it is not as if Rollheiser would stay at Zenit forever.

He is only 23 now.

The Argentine playmaker made 26 starts and one substitute appearance in the 2023 Argentine Primera División.

Rollheiser scored six goals and gave three assists in those games.

Estudiantes finished sixth in the league table this season with 45 points from 28 matches.

Newcastle are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season and will also play in the UEFA Champions League.

Meanwhile, Burnley will look to avoid relegation to the Championship.
