Green Bay Packers Legend Brett Favre’s Legal Saga Gets Surprising $730,000 Twist
It seems like shady motives are always the reason Brett Favre’s name makes headlines these days. Mississippi wants the former great quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, Brett Favre, to repay more than $700,000 in federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds that he is claimed to have received.
Legendary Green Bay Packers Player Brett Favre’s Legal Case Takes a New Turn
According to White, the sum they are requesting from Favre is interest from the $1.1 million that the legendary Green Bay Packers player was given. Favre made two separate payments in 2020 and 2021 to recoup the $1.1 million.
It is alleged that Favre took the $1.1 million payment in exchange for speaking engagements for which he failed to appear. Another accusation is that Favre received $5 million from TANF to help finance a volleyball facility at South Miss, where his daughter participated.
