EINTRACHT FRANKFURT INTERESTED IN ANTHONY MODESTE AS RANDAL KOLO MUANI’S REPLACEMENT

Eintracht Frankfurt are looking for a replacement for Randal Kolo Muani (24), according to Foot Mercato. On deadline day, the former Nantes forward completed a late switch to PSG. Modeste is a free agent with no club after his contract with Borussia Dortmund expired in June.

The 35-year-old had a mixed season with Dortmund but is no stranger to the Bundesliga, having played for Köln and Hoffenheim before joining BVB in 2022 for €5 million. The French striker appeared in 28 games for the Black and Yellow, scoring two goals and assisting one.

Frankfurt had no intention of selling Randal Kolo Muani without first signing a successor, but the French international’s tenacity drove them to crack and keep their promise. The Bundesliga team attempted to sign Hugo Ekitiké (21) from PSG, but the former Reims forward turned down three contract offers. With the transfer window being closed, Frankfurt must hunt for a replacement for the 24-year-old in the free agent market.
