Chelsea plot transfer hijack for Arsenal target as agreement is close on 'personal terms'West Ham are finalising two new signings on Friday as they go into transfer overdrive, sources have told Football Insider.

The club are in advanced talks to sign Ajax attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus and Stuttgart centre-back Konstantinos Mavropano.

West Ham have agreed personal terms with both players and are closing in on full agreements as they look to negotiate the final structure of payments with the respective clubs.

Both deals could be sealed by the London club on Friday, although they face a race against time to complete them in time for the players to feature in Sunday’s Premier League clash against Chelsea.

The transfers would need to be registered by Friday’s 12pm deadline.

Kudus and Mavrapanos are both keen to move to the Premier League

Kudus came close a move to Serie A last week and has been on the radar of multiple leading English clubs this summer, including Chelsea and Brighton.

West Ham are planning for Mavropanos to arrive following the breakdown of their £30million move for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.

David Moyes has already added James Ward-Prowse and Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez to his squad this summer, and the Irons boss wants further reinforcements.

The Hammers’ transfer budget has been boosted by the £105million sale of Declan Rice earlier this summer, while ManCity are pushing hard to sign Lucas Paqueta.

Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (15 August) that City are preparing an offer of more than £80million to sign the Brazilian playmaker.
