Detroit Lions Fire Multi-Million Dollar Cornerback Cameron Sutton After Domestic Assault Arrest Warrant Granted

The Detroit Lions have released cornerback Cameron Sutton this week after reports have emerged of a domestic battery arrest warrant.

It was confirmed by the Hillsborough County (Florida) Sheriff’s Office, who announced that Sutton was wanted for alleged domestic battery by strangulation.

“We became aware of the ongoing legal situation involving Cam Sutton,” the Lions said in a statement.

“We will continue to monitor the situation and will not have further comment at this time.”

The Lions cut ties with the CB yesterday after Sutton had recently signed a 3-year deal worth $33 million.

He started all 17 regular season games, and three post season matches last season.

He spent the first six years in the NFL with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
