Charlton Athletic prospect Ibrahim Fullah has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder, who celebrated his birthday earlier this month, has caught the eye during his maiden season as a first-year scholar, scoring 10 goals and registering eight assists in 29 starts for the Addicks’ U18s and U21s.

Fullah, who joins fellow U18s prospect Micah Mbick in penning a professional deal with the Addicks this term, said: “Honestly it was a great birthday present. Signing this professional contract is a really great feeling. 

“It’s been a great journey from U10s all the way up until now with a lot of highs and lows. Having coaches that believe in me has given me the confidence to just go out on the pitch and enjoy myself. I feel like that’s something Charlton stands out for.”

Academy director Steve Avory commented: “I’m delighted that Ibrahim has committed his immediate future to the club. He’s a player of high potential and has been rewarded with a professional contract.
