Carlton forward likely to leave as agent provides latest on star Bulldogs pair: AFL trade news

For the majority of the year, Carlton’s Zac Fisher has been linked with a move. After being selected seldom by the Blues, the 25-year-old could be on his way to a squad that will give him more stability at the senior level.

Fisher has averaged 17 disposals per game while playing in a midfield-forward position throughout his career. Fisher appeared in every game in 2022, but only 12 in 2023. Despite his team’s long run in the finals, the York-born Fisher did not appear in any of the three games.

Fisher averaged 29 disposals in seven VFL outings. In a Round 10 win over Sydney, he had a season-high 40 disposals and one major.

Despite his Western Australian origins, Fisher is more likely to join a Victorian competitor than the West Coast Eagles. Carlton has already made off-season changes, re-signing ruckmen Tom De Koning and Jack Silvagni. Fisher is under contract with the Blues until 2025, but it’s evident that opportunity is more important to the former Carlton staple.

Speaking to AFL

“A few clubs are interested in him.” He would like to see more midfield play, and a few clubs have expressed interest in what he may provide to their team.
Trade Radio
, Fisher’s agent Andrew McDougall provided an update on his client.

“It is more an opportunity piece for him if things do eventuate,” said McDougall.

“He returned to the team with Carlton and played half-back.” He also has the versatility to play small forward. He’d want to see more time in the middle of the field.

“A few clubs have discussed what he can bring to their team. He’d like to stay in Melbourne; that’s definitely his top priority. He’s content, he’s settled here, so we’ll see how the conversation goes and how this week unfolds.”

Tim English’s contract with the Western Bulldogs expires at the end of 2024. With the 26-year-old winning his first All-Australian blazer, the Bulldogs will almost surely do everything in their power to keep him.

North Melbourne and Collingwood have expressed interest in the 195cm forward, who is under contract until the end of 2024. Regardless of rumoured interest, Naughton will stay with the Bulldogs until 2024.

“I can unequivocally state that Aaron Naughton will not be moving this year.” “I understand teams doing their homework, but he is committed to the Dogs and will be there in 2024,” McDougall said.
