The 13 players who left Birmingham City at the end of last season and where they are now

Birmingham City received a much-needed facelift this summer, and Blues fans are already seeing results.
After five games in the 2023/24 Championship season, John Eustace’s Birmingham City are fourth in the table with 11 points.

It comes after a summer of spending at Birmingham City with Blues bringing in a horde of new players, dipping into their pockets to bring in the likes of Dion Sanderson and more.

But what’s happened to those who left the club at the end of last season? Here we take a look…

Colin, Maxime
Maxime Colin, a former fan favorite, joined Ligue 1 club FC Metz and has since made three appearances in the French top division.

Harlee Dean’s
Harlee Dean, a former Blues captain, joined League One side Reading on a free transfer this summer.

Troy Deeney’s
Troy Deeney also slipped down the levels this summer, landing an unexpected role as player/coach with Forest Green Rovers in League Two; he’s scored one goal in three league appearances thus far.

Jordan Graham

Jordan Graham is yet another released Blues player now playing in the third tier of English football, having signed for Leyton Orient following their promotion from League Two.

Kevin Long

Kevin Long was initially released by Blues but later re-signed for the club, and he’s since played an important part in this positive start to the season.
