Oklahoma Sooners softball standout Ella Parker has officially signed a three-year contract extension, solidifying her future in Norman through the 2028 season. The announcement marks a major milestone for both Parker and the powerhouse Sooners program, as they continue to build on their championship pedigree.
A sophomore from Los Angeles, Parker has quickly established herself as one of the top talents in college softball. As a freshman, she turned heads with an incredible .415 batting average, a .516 on-base percentage, and a .722 slugging percentage. She also led the team with 17 stolen bases, while adding 13 home runs and 15 doubles. Her all-around performance earned her a finalist spot for the 2024 Tucci/NFCA Division I Freshman of the Year award.
In her sophomore campaign, Parker has only continued to shine. She earned SEC Co-Player of the Week honors twice in February, first for a dominant showing in California, and again after a stellar run at the Getterman Classic where she hit .750 with two homers and six RBIs.
Head coach Patty Gasso praised Parker’s impact, stating, “Ella has been a dynamic force for our program. Her versatility, work ethic, and leadership make her an invaluable asset to the Sooners.”
With this extension, Parker is set to remain a cornerstone of the Oklahoma lineup for years to come. Her signing is not only a major win for the Sooners but also a sign that the program remains committed to excellence on the national stage.
