Milwaukee Bucks Star Khris Middleton Breaks Silence on New Injury

For the first time this season, Khris Middleton played in a back-to-back set for the Milwaukee Bucks. The three-time All-Star’s milestone came on Thursday against the San Antonio Spurs as Middleton helped Milwaukee overcome a feisty Spurs side, 125-121.

Middleton played just 16 minutes on Thursday, though, which is roughly half of the minutes he’s been logging over the past several games. Nevertheless, the most important thing is that he was able to suit up for a second straight night.

Milwaukee Bucks Star Khris Middleton Speaks Out on Injury

While it’s been his surgically repaired knee that has been holding Middleton back from playing in back-to-back sets this season, the 32-year-old has actually been dealing with a new issue of late. He was listed as questionable to play on Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers due to a sprained left wrist, which is a new injury 6-foot-7 swingman.

The good news, however, is that according to Middleton himself, there’s no cause for concern here:

“It’s fine,” Middleton said after Wednesday’s loss to Indiana, via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “Just a little sore but I’ll be alright.”

It appears that Middleton may have gotten over the injury already. He was not listed on the injury report for Thursday’s contest against the Spurs, and he looked fine in his limited time on the court.

It is worth noting, however, that the Bucks have not provided an official reason as to why Middleton did not play in the second half of Thursday’s game. His status for Saturday’s contest against the Houston Rockets will now be worth monitoring.
