Breaking News: Georgia Gets News on Projected $2.8 Million Star Quarterback Amid Rumors

The Georgia Bulldogs lost a verbal commitment from top 2026 quarterback prospect Jared Curtis. But the Bulldogs remain very much in the conversation to still sign Curtis. On3’s Steve Wiltfong reported Curtis has Georgia in his top two final schools of his recruitment process. “I think there are times where Curtis really sees himself playing at Oregon and they’ve been the leader as of late. The connection with offensive coordinator Will Stein and Dan Lanning, the way the Ducks have played over the last three years and trajectory of the program excited,” wrote Wiltfong.

“But the regular communication with Georgia, the caliber of players the Bulldogs recruit and consistency of the program along with the proximity and the love his family has for the school are some of the reasons why they’re still very much in this going into the next two visits.”

The 6-foot-4 225-pound signal caller, who On3 projected to receive a $2.8 million NIL deal, will visit Eugene, Ore. during the weekend of June 6. But Georgia will get the last visit. The Bulldogs plan to host Curtis in Athens, Ga. the following weekend.
