As Phil Parkinson acknowledges “several bids,” five players have been linked to a trade to Wrexham.

The Dragons is expected to bring in one or two signings before the transfer window closes on Friday

The club has made “several bids” for players, according to Wrexham AFC manager Phil Parkinson, in an effort to bolster the roster before the transfer market closes on Friday, September 1, at 11 p.m. It’s no secret that the Dragons manager wants to increase his attacking options without Paul Mullin, but with Ben Foster’s retirement, he might also decide to bring in another goalkeeper.

Here are five players who have been highly associated with a move to the Racecourse, despite the fact that Wrexham have money to spend, Parkinson has underlined his intention not to pay over the odds for players, which may go some way to explaining why a forward has yet to be signed this month.

Although the 26-year-old Peterborough United striker has had difficulty securing a regular starting position at London Road, Reds supporters are familiar with him from his time as a prolific goal scorer at Chesterfield. It is believed that a loan agreement may be the most likely result if Tshimanga joins the Dragons.

The 33-year-old forward from Montserrat has a distinguished career, having played for teams like Bournemouth, Sheffield United, and Nottingham Forest. There are rumors that the unsigned free agent has been working out with Wrexham in an effort to sign a contract.

He’s had success in League One and has also scored goals in the Championship. If conditions can be worked out, he would make a good backup for Paul Mullin.

The 26-year-old Wycombe Wanderers striker has recently drawn a lot of attention from Wrexham and may be the most likely to sign of the five. Although he has a modest track record of scoring goals, he is a gifted player, and moving down a division might help him improve those numbers.

Aneke, who is 30 years old, scored a respectable number of goals in League One while representing England up to the under-19 level. In 38 games while playing in League Two last season, he scored 17 goals.

Aneke might be the perfect addition in Phil Parkinson’s eyes, and while a fee would be necessary, it’s unlikely that his current club Charlton would demand too much.

Armstrong, Luke

Luke Armstrong of Harrogate Town has a respectable League Two goalscoring record with 16 goals in 46 games the previous season. He might be one of the less expensive alternatives, though it is debatable if a 27-year-old man would want to take second place behind Paul Mullin despite having to pay a fee.

This would be a good signing, but Phil Parkinson might have bigger expectations.
