Dan Ndoyeh as turned down the chance to join Everton.
That’s according to Gianluca Di Marzio via Tuttomercatoweb, who reported that the Toffees have tried to hijack Bologna’s deal for the striker but he would prefer a move to Italy.
Ndoye joined Basel on loan from Nice in 2021 before he made his stay permanent six months later. The 22-year-old has netted 12 goals and provided 16 assists in all competitions for the Swiss club, while he was named in the UEFA Europa Conference League Team of the Season last time out.
Ndoye also starred for Switzerland in the U-21 Euros tournament this summer, scoring two goals in four matches before they were knocked out by Spain in the quarter-finals.
The 22-year-old’s form has attracted interest in recent months and Di Marzio claims that Ndoye will join Bologna for €9 million (£7.8m) plus €2m (£1.7m) in add-ons.
The Toffees attempted to lure Ndoye to Goodison Park, however the report claims that the forward would prefer an ‘immediate step’ before moving to the Premier League – with Bologna his ideal destination.

With the Toffees already welcoming Arnaut Danjuma to the club and they remain interest in signing another winger, a move for Dan Ndoye seems unlikely.
The Swiss international is another young, unproven forward with what looks like a similar stature to Chermiti. To splash even more cash on a similar player wouldn’t make much sense – especially given the club’s financial problems.
Perhaps they had seen Ndoye as an alternative to Chermiti before his deal was completed, though hopefully the Sporting Lisbon starlet will prove to be the correct choice for the Merseyside outfit.
