Nottingham Forest now close to signing ‘incredible’ player, he’s pushing to move – journalist

Nottingham Forest are now close to the signing of Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi. The Reds are taking the player from their East Midlands rivals as they bid to strengthen in the middle of the park.

According to 90Min journalist Graeme Bailey, the Reds are edging closer to a deal for the 26-year-old. Ndidi has scored in both rounds of the Carabao Cup this season against Burton Albion and more recently, against Tranmere.

The combative performer was said to have pushed for the move yesterday. Forest have already agreed personal terms with Ndidi and it’s claimed that the Nigerian international is pushing for the move.

The central midfielder has been Leicester since 2017. He’s become an integral part of the team at the King Power Stadium and has made 243 appearances for the club in total.

Brendan Rodgers was a huge fan of Ndidi when he managed the Foxes. He called him ‘incredible’ and this could be a very intriguing deal for the Reds.

Forest have been monitoring Ndidi for a little while. He’s been on the club’s list all summer but it’s no secret that they’ve targeted more stellar additions first.

The Reds are now edging closer to another midfielder. This news comes after it was claimed this morning that Nicolas Dominguez is flying in for a medical at the City Ground.

Ndidi looks like a clever addition to the Forest ranks though. He’s got bags of Premier League experience and he’s still a nice age where he could still improve.

Cooper is clearly hoping to get something sorted in his midfield engine room. Ndidi could be a nice foil for some of the attacking players at Forest and this looks like wise business.
