Big Ali back home taking on new ventures

Club icon Ali Lauitiiti is a multi-talented man. He recently launched his own business, Kofe Bro, a mobile coffee cart company, and took on the role of chaplain for the One New Zealand Warriors.

With Kofe Bro fusing Lauitiiti’s love of coffee with an opportunity to spend quality time with his children, what began as a family side business swiftly turned into a passion project and a mainstay of the Go Media Stadium parking lot.

“It’s a fun thing me and the family can bond over, but being involved with the Warriors in my new role has meant I’m able to occasionally cross the two passions over so it’s been really cool in that respect.”

Lauitiiti returns to his starting club and assumes the post of chaplain, providing pastoral care and spiritual support.

His presence gives the One New Zealand Warriors’ expanding wellbeing squad a distinct character.

It connects at the grassroots and professional levels with his role as a welfare and education officer at the New Zealand Rugby League.

“It’s been an honour and privilege to be given the opportunity by the wellbeing team to come back to the club where I started my journey and serve in a small capacity as the team chaplain,” he stated.

“I honestly can’t thank the club enough for always welcoming back past players.”

Having Lauitiiti as chaplain demonstrates a commitment to overall player welfare as the organization continues to invest in players’ holistic development, he said.

Beyond his primary duties, the current team has not missed Lauitiiti’s on-field presence. The club believes that Lauitiiti’s legacy will continue for the 2024 squad and beyond, leaving a lasting impression both on and off the field.
