Breaking: Lions predicted to trade for $97 million former All-Pro to improve their secondary

It seems the Detroit Lions are going to need a cornerback this offseason. Carlton Davis was the team’s top corner for the 2024 season until an injury ended his year. Now Davis is set to hit free agency and he made it clear in a recent post that he’s ready to test the open market and get paid. That could take the Lions out of the running to bring him back on a new deal.

If Davis leaves, the Lions are going to need to add to a corner group that includes Amik Robertson, Terrion Arnold, and Ennis Rakestraw Jr. Pro Football and Sports Network’s Sterling Xie has an interesting idea for who that new cornerback could be.
