Latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as Reds attacker completes loan move to Turkey

Emmanuel Dennis, a Nottingham Forest attacker, has joined Istanbul Basaksehir.

The 25-year-old will join the Turkish club on loan for the remainder of the season. His departure comes just over a year after he signed with the Reds.

Dennis joined the City Ground last summer after leaving Watford. He has not played for Forest this season due to a lack of regular game time.

The Reds made strengthening their attacking resources a priority during the transfer window. They brought in striker Divock Origi, as well as attackers Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi, pushing Dennis further down the pecking order.

He follows Forest teammate Jonjo Shelvey in moving to Turkey, as the Reds made cutting numbers as important as bringing in new players this summer. Shelvey will be on loan at Caykur Rizespor for the duration of the season.

Dennis appeared 25 times for the Garibaldi last season, with 16 of those appearances coming off the bench. On the final day of the 2022/23 season, he made a substitute appearance for Forest against Crystal Palace. His two club goals came against Aston Villa and Newcastle.
