tottenham are expected to sell 28-year-old in January transfer window

According to Football Insider, Pierre-Emile Hojbejrg’s time at Tottenham is anticipated to expire during the January transfer window.

Late offers to Atletico Madrid and Fulham fell through for Hojbjerg on transfer deadline day, with the La Liga club apparently unable to reach Spurs’ asking price (Fabrizio Romano), while the player was not understood to be interested on a move to Craven Cottage (Daily Mail).

The midfielder could yet transfer to Turkey, as clubs in the country are allowed to add players to their squads until September 15. Spurs have already sold Davinson Sanchez and Tanguy Ndombele to Galatasaray this week.

For the time being, Hojbjerg will remain at Tottenham.

According to Football Insider, Spurs are not interested in listening to offers from Turkey or Saudi Arabia for Hojbjerg.

According to the publication, the Dane is set to stay in N17 for the time being because the North London club has now ‘restricted’ the chance of an exit.

According to reports, the midfielder will most likely go during the January transfer window.

Spurs Online Opinion

Tottenham would be foolish to transfer Hojbjerg now that they are unable to acquire a replacement. Besides, I doubt the 28-year-old would be interested in relocating to Saudi Arabia or Turkey.

He will be hoping that Atletico Madrid renews their interest in him in January and is able to reach an agreement with Spurs this time.
