Alabama football recruiting: How will Kalen DeBoer recruit for Crimson Tide?

Any time there’s a coaching change, the new staff must work quickly to try and avoid a mass exodus. And that effect is only amplified when the coaching change follows the retirement of the greatest coach of all time in Nick Saban. And keeping things together while keeping Alabama, “ALABAMA” is the challenge that faces new Crimson Tide coach Kalen DeBoer.

Andrew Ivins, 247Sports director of scouting, said that DeBoer and company will have the advantage of tapping into the reputation that Saban built. But at the same time, he noted that “the clock is certainly ticking,” a statement that became pretty quickly apparent after Alabama lost transfers off its roster, along with multiple decommitments from the 2025 class that ranked No. 3 and was already projecting like a potential No. 1 class.
