Arkansas continues to reap the benefits of the Calipari effect, with yet another top-tier talent committing to join the Razorbacks for the upcoming season.

Johnuel “Boogie” Fland has opted to bring his skills to Arkansas, adding to the growing roster of talent under Calipari’s leadership.

Hailing from Archbishop Stepinac High School in the Bronx, Fland is widely regarded as the nation’s top Point Guard by numerous recruiting services.

His high school career was marked by numerous accolades, including being named a 2024 McDonald’s All-American, participating in the 2024 Jordan Brand Classic, and being selected for the 2024 USA Basketball Nike Hoop Summit and the 2024 USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Select Team. Fland also received recognition as the New York MaxPreps High School Boys Basketball Player of the Year, among other honors.

During his senior year, Fland demonstrated impressive stats, averaging 19.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.4 steals per game, with notable shooting percentages. His contributions led Stepinac to championship victories and garnered personal awards, including CHSAA AA MVP.

Fland’s commitment is a significant win for Arkansas, promising to bolster the team’s performance on both ends of the court, with potential for sustained productivity beyond his first year.
